Within the past year or so I've gotten into Railroad Photography.  My interest in railroads is their history and more towards the invention of the diesel engine.

Now, my interest in Railroads and Railroad Photography didn't just spring up overnight. I have had an interest in railroads since I saw my first train as a child.  Not sure which came first, seeing the trains while visiting at my grandmother's house or seeing the trains go through the old town where I grew up.

Either way, it instilled an interest in the fantastic machine which has never left me.  For years, as a child, I had a model railroad which was fun to play with but lost interest in that over the years.

As I grew up and moved away to college and returned to the area after graduation I had gotten away from my interest in trains and railroads.  I was working on a career and had gotten married and moved to an area where the trains were not close by anymore.

The love of trains and railroads returned when I retired and was moving into a new home and heard the train horns in the distance.  Floods of awesome memories returned and I began a journey of railfanning, watching and learning.

My work is available for purchase from my website, Allen Pearson's Photos - Railroad Gallery.  I offer prints, gallery wraps, metal prints and note cards.
